We have interviewed Misses Maria Lindquis, an economics and law teacher in Katedralskolan. We asked a few questions about her students and them link with the police, the justice.

Sometimes, in school, the sudents must learn law texts, so they look in law books. In Katedralskolan, the sudents has already been visited thepolice department ; but never prisons, tribunals, or other places like that. After taking an economic class, many students of Katedralskolan continue their sudies in Universities.

In Sweden, there are about 4000 an 5000 prisoners. A lt of them willl stay in jails for all their lives. So, because of the number of prisoners the State must build different type of prisons to put different sortsof prisoners. The most famous prison in Sweden is called Kumla, situated in the center of the contry. Another big one is situated close to Linköping.

The most serious and biggest crime in Sweden was in 1973, when Jan Erik Olsson, an old man, took some people in a bank for approximatively 6 days. It becamed then quite famous. A name hass been done for this sort of "crime" : the syndrom of Stockholm.
