What about civics ?

We have interviewed Swedish students who have worked civics last year. The main subjects were criminality, justice and law.

Students who attend this class are in their last year at school.

There was a social science who worked with them when they studied crime. They also worked in group class about differents topics like criminals who were back in the society or the police who is sometimes too much violent.

These three students also told us that they spoke a lot in that class about how to build a society, how they want to live, and environnement, as well.

We finished our interview by asking them a question which made them laugh. Indeed, we asked what did the King do and they answered «  Nothing ! He just represents Sweden. He can't even vote for political elections. »

To conclude, these students looked very interested by the subject when they talked about it. It's certainly because they made the choice to chose their own classgroup.
